The school has been able to use the expertise from Positive Play to influence playground design. It is intended that new markings and larger play apparatus will feature largely to the benefit of the children. Existing play space is well segregated, free areas and quiet areas are well defined. Seated and covered shaded areas are also provided. The activity area is constantly in use and supervised by an experienced and well trained lunchtime supervisor. This area is occupied by consistently high numbers numbers of children so freeing other limited space for other children.
Early training was successful and had an immediate impact. The school feels there is a need to annually revisit training, and is satisfied it has the expertise to carry this out in house.
